Calculate Your Daily Water Usage

I found this cool water use calculator on the City of Austin’s website here, and thought it was pretty interesting to estimate my household’s weekly water use and my own personal water use.   Not surprisingly, more than half of our water use (in the summer) is from watering the lawn two times a week    It was also very informative to play around with it and see how much more efficient using the dishwasher can be versus hand washing, how much water gets used flushing the toilet in  a low-flow versus traditional, and how much water gets used showering versus taking baths.
