AJ, I found some at HEB, the one on Red River, but that was the boxed kind with spices (next to the couscous). I couldn't find a big bulk container of it there, but I believe I was there on a day when everything seemed a bit under stocked. But yeah WF and CM will have it too.

Laura, I haven't tried out many quinoa recipes, but after this one, I am definitely going to be doing some more. Good luck and I hope you enjoy! And thank you so much for the write up on your blog--you're awesome!

Great post! A.J. - you can get quinoa from Greenling, too! For the non-vegetarians just tossing some quinoa with sausage, onions, garlic, & kale with a little hot sauce makes for a great dish.

Great recipe! I've been on the lookout for quinoa recipes, ever since my husband and I bought some at the grocery store. We tried ours originally as a rice substitute, under some Chicken Jalfreizi that we made using a jar of Patak's. It had a really interesting texture and complimented the Indian flavors nicely with its nutty taste. I will have to try this recipe and see what I think, but really, anything with broccoli and avocado is a winner. :)

I've heard great things about quinoa for awhile. Where else could I get some, besides Wholefoods or Central market? Any H-E-B's?
